Liver also known as kaleji in Hindi is a popular food in many cultures. Lamb, Chicken, Calf/Beef and Pork livers are the most preferred livers consumed. Livers are cooked similarly to meat but quickly, as levers tend to cook faster than any other meat. You can eat liver as main dish, or in combination with meals or a side dish like gravy. Liver has a wide variety of traditional recipes, such as Tamil Nadu Liver varuval, Bengali liver curry, kerala style liver fry, and mutton liver fry.

Liver is most commonly suggested by many doctors, but the way they suggest we might need to have it like medicine. As liver would taste like a medicine if you have it plain, so let us see how to make as quick and short, Spicy Mutton Liver.
Mutton Liver 1/2 Kg
Oil 2 Tsp
Chopped Tomato 2 Nos
Chopped Onions 2 Nos
Ginger Garlic paste 2 Tsp
Chili powder 2 Tsp
Coriander powder 3 Tsp
Turmeric powder 1/2 Tsp
Fennel seeds 1/2 Tsp
Pepper powder 1/2 Tsp
Coriander Leaves 1 strip
Water 1 cup
Salt to taste
Preparation (15 Minutes)
In a pan add Liver, Chopped Tomato, one cup of water, Salt, Chilly, Turmeric and coriander powder together and mix it well and leave it to cook for about 7 minutes and keep it aside.
Now heat a pan and add 2 tsp of Oil and add the Fennel seeds and sauté it well.
Add the Chopped onions and sauté it.
Add the Ginger Garlic paste and sauté until the raw smell goes off.
Now you can add the cooked Liver mixture and mix it well.
Transfer the mixture to a bowl and garnish with Pepper powder and Coriander leaf.
This Spicy Pepper Liver Gravy can be mixed with Rice, Roti, Idly and Dosa.
