Before you learn to type, have a look at the keyboard. The number of keys vary between 50 to 54. The key row commencing with the character “a” is known as the “Home Row” also known as “Guide Row”. This row is very important in learning typing as it acts as the ruling base in typing the keys.
Keep the left hand four fingers as mentioned below:
The little finger on ‘a’, ring finger on ‘s’, middle finger on ‘d’ and index finger on ‘f’.
Keep the right hand four fingers as mentioned:
The little finger on ‘;’, ring finger on ‘l’, middle finger on ‘k’ and index finger on ‘j’.
Now as guided above keep your eight fingers lightly placed on eight keys of the Home row, palms slightly above the frame of the keyboard and bend the finger a bit to adjust yourself so that you can press the keys easily.
Press and Release the key as quickly as you can. Always use Right hand thumb to press Space bar key.
Now get ready to type.
