Dindigul is a well known place for spicy foods, located near Madurai, Tamil Nadu, India. Dindigul is one of the famous place for India’s most tasty Biryani and peoples used to stand in long queues  to get a place inside the hotels. One of the famous Dindigual Chef’s recipe is this "Dindigul Spicy Chicken Varuval/Fry".

Use these ingredients and follow the procedure closely to prepare the tongue tingling Chicken Varuval in few minutes.

Oil : 4tsp
Chopped Onion: 2 Nos
Chopped Tomato: 2 Nos
Chopped Ginger: 2 tsp
Chopped Garlic: 2 tsp
Chicken:  1/2 KG
Chilly powder: 2 tsp
Coriander powder: 3tsp
Turmeric powder: 1/2 tsp
Tamrind water: half lemon size
Salt as required
Cumin seeds/jeera powder  : 1 tsp
Black pepper powder: 2 tsp
Cinnamon, clove/lavangam, cardamom/ellaakka, fennel seeds/sombhu : 1tsp each powdered (semi powdered)

Heat oil in a pan, add the cinnamon, clove, fennel seeds, and cardamon powder and saute it little.
Add chopped onions saute it well, add chopped ginger garlic  saute it for a minute or two.
Add chopped tomato and salt saute untill oil gets separated.
Now add the chicken and mix it well. Add the chilly powder, coriander powder and turmeric powder, mix it well and let it cook for 5-7 minutes (No need to add water).
Squeeze the tamarind and dissolve it to the water. Once the chicken is cooked pour the tamarind water and let it cook for 5 mintues.
Once the cooking is completed  add the jeera and black pepper powder  to the chicken and sauté it well untill dry and serve it with your Biryani.
Your spicy tangling Dindigul Chicken Varuval is ready to be served.
